1 Copperplate paper

Also known as coated printing paper, it is made by applying a layer of white coating on the surface of the base paper and subjecting it to super calendering processing

Features: Smooth surface, high whiteness, good elasticity, strong water absorption of ink, high color reproduction, strong reflective effect, and corresponding texture not so prominent

There are two types: single-sided and double-sided

Main uses: Printing picture books, art books, book covers, postcards, calendars, etc

Common weight: 80, 105, 128, 157, 200,250, 300, 350 (g/㎡)

2 light coated paper

Compared to copperplate paper, lightly coated paper requires less coating processing, with only a thin layer of coating on both sides

Characteristics: Currently, the color printing effect of lightly coated paper is almost equivalent to that of copperplate paper, and its price is higher than that of general printing paper, but it is much more suitable than copperplate paper

Main use: magazine and journal pages, flyers

Common weight: 55-70g/m

The base paper weight is 35-50g/m, and the single-sided coating amount is 8-10g/ ㎡)

3 matte paper

Also known as matte copperplate paper, its reflection is not as strong as copperplate paper

Features: Matte surface copperplate paper, evenly distributed paper fibers, good thickness, high density, good elasticity, strong water resistance, finer and more textured printing patterns

The absorption and receiving state of ink are slightly lower than that of copperplate paper, but the thickness is slightly higher than that of copperplate paper, and the corresponding price is also higher

Main use: high-end product brochure, or matte magazine

4 white cardboard

A type of special paper, which is a thick and strong white cardboard

Divided into two types: yellow core and white core

Features: Strong, thick, smooth, tear resistant, color printing effect not inferior to copperplate paper, moderate price, high hardness, stiffness, and thickness among papers of the same weight, overall high cost-effectiveness

Main uses: Printing business cards, postcards, invitations, packaging

Common weight: 250, 300, 350, 400 (g)/㎡）

5 sulfuric acid paper

Also known as tracing paper, the paper is soaked in sulfuric acid and treated with glycerol, and then dried

Features: Transparent, waterproof, and oil resistant, but the ink adsorption ability is poor and not easy to dry. The required drying time is more than three times that of ordinary copperplate paper. It is prone to deformation when exposed to water, and wrinkles when exposed to air drying. It can only be naturally dried when printing special colors such as gold, silver, white ink, etc. The artistic effect is good

Main purpose: Generally used in combination with other paper materials

While increasing the design quality, it is also possible to add some fun elements suitable for album covers, gift box packaging, hardcover book title pages, and decorative pages
